Alternate Activities
World renowned, and BC's second largest ski resort, Sun Peaks has plenty to offer outside the ski season. The village at an elevation of 1,255m (4,117’) is a great base for outdoor activities such as biking, trail riding, hiking, canoeing, golfing, and guided fly fishing. During the Escape weekend there are ample opportunities to pursue some alternate experiences.
Escape Tailored Activities
The Sun Peaks Resort has put together several options to fit specifically with our weekend schedule. These activities can be booked directly through the resort.
Village Loop Trail Ride (2 hour experience)
Saddle-up and explore Sun Peaks Resort on horseback with an informative 2-hour guided trail ride above the picturesque Village. Enjoy meadows filled with alpine flowers, and keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife!

Voyageur Canoe Tour (2 hour experience)
Come and relive the majesty of the fur trade through a guided adventure aboard an authentic 30’ replica Voyageur canoe.

Come and relive the majesty of the fur trade through a guided adventure aboard an authentic 30’ replica Voyageur canoe, then relax on the shores of McGillivray Lake as you feast on a 3-course rustic lunch.

Pedicures on the Patio
Join us on patio of the Delta hotel’s Health Club Terrace and relax under umbrellas in the sunshine while receiving mountainside foot soaks, polish application and complimentary sangria overlooking the Porsche Escape Show’N’Shine taking place in the Village below!

Art Walk (2 hour experience)
Tour the picturesque Sun Peaks Village as your informative guide leads you from patio to patio meeting local artisans and watching demonstrations on how they create their mediums. While viewing artisan presentations, guest will be treated to taste some of the finest British Columbia boutique wines paired with sumptuous tapas prepared by local resort chefs.
